After critiquing films for Dawn for nearly two decades, film critic M Kamran Jawaid has turned his hand to writing, directing, and also working on cinematography and editing with Future Imperfect, a movie which will air on Aaj Entertainment this Saturday.
The film is billed as an action-thriller and stars Aijaz Aslam as Zahid, a medical sales rep who stumbles upon a diary he’s written but has no memory of writing. The diary charts out the next 24 hours for him with one directive: he has to follow all the rules in it. The film has some supernatural elements in it as well.
Jawaid said in the press release about the film that he’s been intrigued by supernatural content like Twilight Zone and Black Mirror so it seemed like the right route to take when he was offered to do something different.
“As a producer,” said Zaid Aziz, “I am always keen on pushing the boundaries.”
Aziz has worked on The Early Days and Aurat Aur Mard and they promise something that is far from what audiences are used to seeing.
The film also features Khaled Anam, Khalid Zafar, Mashal Khan and Hassam Khan.
