Top model vows to boycott projects in Murree

Pakistan’s top model Hasnain Lehri expressed his anger at the hotel “mafia” in Murree for exploiting tourists in “harsh times” and said on Tuesday that he will no longer be doing any shoots or projects at the hill station.

His statement comes after the 22 people tragically lost their lives stuck in heavy snowfall unable to find shelter and food.

Calling for legal action against the mafia in Murree, Lehri said that “as a patriotic Pakistani” he is going to “boycott Murree” to teach a lesson to those who “abuse travellers and blackmail them in these harsh times. 50k for hotel room per night in Murree, due to which those Pakistanis who couldn’t afford died in their cars.”

The model took to social medi and posted a message in which he vowed to boycott working in Murree. “As an artist who has been working to create visuals for as long as I can remember, I have made a decision along with my team members to not do any shoots or any projects in Murree,” he said.

He went on to say to that “the greediness of those that mask themselves as people are actually Murree’s mafia, who will not live to profitize on dirty business not with the way they "allowed innocent and poor people to lose their lives in their cars in the absence of food and shelter, all due to mafia negligence.”

Many other celebrities have also shared messages of condolences on social media.
