Pakistani celebrities lent support to actor Hania Aamir as a 'disturbing' video of a man ejaculating on her pictures went viral on social media.
In a Tweet, actor and host Fahad Mustafa asked social media users to respect female actors and stop judging them:
"Disgusted with the way people are treating actresses of our industry if you don't like what they do you have a choice not to follow them but stop judging and trolling ...#respectwomen."
Actor Mirza Gohar Rasheed schooled Hania's ex Asim Azhar for using the opportunity to drag her down. In a tweet, he said:
"Being a part of this fraternity where we respect our women, where we treat them equally, using your celebrity status for bullying a girl, hanging your dirty laundry in public is unacceptable and vile. Being people of influence don’t be petty, misogynistic, and disrespectful,"
Youtuber and model Shahveer Jeffery also took to Twitter to defend Titli actor:
"A girl comes live. A guy joins and ejaculates on her picture. People who find this funny are psychopaths! #RespectWomen."
Actor Ali Rehman asked for accountability against individuals who incite hate against female actors:
"It’s time we stand up and call out disgusting individuals who make sick hateful comments/jokes at a woman’s expense. Hold them accountable for inciting hate so that we can make sure they never do to again. Online harassment/bullying needs to stop."
Singer and actor Danyal Zafar asked social media users to use the internet responsibly and assured Hania that she has all the support that she needs:
